2008 ACC : Race 4, The Start and Weathermark 1

Potentially the last race of the day. Race 4, 1.0 nm, 070. Five legs.

Fleet off to a perfect start. All clear with an aggressive feel.

Corinthians JA Booker and Bob Kroetsch go head-to-head with Kroetsch taking the lead by a slim margin at the top mark. Also mixing up the top five is Joe Blouin and Rob Butler along with Weisleder and Kolius in the top five.

Kopf went on to take the win. Just simply some great sailing today by Kopf and team. Speed — man they were fast! Really, really fast!

Congratulations to Corinthian Bob Kroetsch! In Race 4 today Bob took second place! Nice job after coming in to the top mark along with Corinthian challenger and DIYC club member J A Booker. Bob took the lead, but Kopf really had it going on today!

Bob has only been in the class for a short five months. We hope to see more of this great team in the future.

I’d like to also point out fleet newcomer AND Corinthian also — Rob Butler who has a second home in Florida, however calls Canada his first is in fourth place overall! A 6-3-4-12 scoreline is impressive

Way to rock Steve. It sounds like the new boat and great crew work are paying off. To it to the limit.

Steve and company did a great job…..they were good upwind, but great downwind just keeping it going and the boat on a plane the whole time. They did great connecting the dots…..Hopefully tomorrow we can play more with them.
